UN Silence over Gaza

Why is the very corrupt and irrelevant UN so quiet about the over-kill by Israel's military in Gaza? Yes, indeed ,Israel has a legetimate right to defend and protect her citizens. But so does the Palestinians in Gaza.There are absolutely no differences between the''bully'' of the middle-east(Benjamin Nathanyu) and the Assad's regime. Both are using their military superiority against urban populations. What is the difference between what Israel is doing to the Palestinians in Gaza than what late colonel M.Caddafi was doing with his military airplanes against the rebels in Benghazi,Lybia? Where is NATO? The Palestinians in Gaza are as defendless as the Lybians were in Benghazi vis-a-vis Isreal control of the air-space. Where are the outrageous screams of Hillary Clinton,David Cameron,Francois Hollande about the killing of innocent children and women by Isreal air force?
